About Out of HoursAfter Hours learning at Tate enables the gallery to develop sustained relationships with selected schools. Students explore a range of artists' work, develop new confidence in discussing art and create their own works inspired by the in-gallery experience. Artists work in partnership with teachers to devise learning experiences that are outside of a formal learning environment and can therefore adopt innovative and creative approaches to teaching and learning which integrate a number of different subject specialisms Online teaching resources:This online resource sets out plans for the ten sessions that comprised each project, including learning objectives, discussion points and activities. You could use these plans as ten session courses to develop similar projects with your own class or group, or select individual sessions to integrate into your other work. The plans can either be used at Tate Modern, or adapted to suit your local gallery or museum. They are illustrated with examples of the work created by the students from the St. Thomas the Apostle College. |
