Planning Tate Interventions

In this session the group devised ideas for interventions at Tate. All ideas were discussed in detail with the relevant groups within Tate and permissions sought. If you are interested in carrying out a similar activity, please telephone the Tate Modern Education Department on 020 7401 5234 to discuss your ideas and arrange permissions.


Location: Tate Modern (or adapt for your local museum/gallery). Please obtain permission from the Tate Modern Schools team (020 7401 5234) or your local museum/gallery before carrying out any gallery interventions.

Learning Objectives

  • To re-visit ideas for Tate Interventions, considering feasibility, logistics and back-up plans.
  • To make sure each pupil is fully prepared for the night of the presentation
  • To produce illustrated, annotated proposals which effectively communicate ideas
