Initiate
A Short Introduction to Gallery Education
Are you a school leaver, final year student, or graduate interested in finding out more about gallery education? This one day introductory course outlines the ways in which Information Assistants, Artist Educators and Education Curators at Tate Liverpool plan and run tours and workshops to engage visitors in discussion and debate on modern art in the Gallery. This will be achieved through a series of interactive model workshops, presentations and discussion based sessions.
Taking part in Initiate is a fantastic opportunity to gain a basic understanding of gallery education, discover the different ways in which Tate Liverpool works with diverse audiences and find out about the many career paths available within the field of gallery education. It will also provide an exciting way to investigate the Tate Collection and our current special exhibitions The Real Thing: Contemporary Art from China and Centre of the Creative Universe: Liverpool and the Avant-garde.
