Artist Talk
Carl Michael von Hausswolff with Brian Gilgeous
What lies beneath? Swedish artist, Carl Michael von Hausswolff asks this question in a video projection and sound installation that charts the journey of a sub-aqua diver from one side of the River Mersey to the other. Brian Gilgeous, the diver who shot the film, knows the Mersey and all its treasures like the back of his hand. In this fascinating talk the two will discuss the Mersey, its shipwrecks and its history and how it inspired a twenty-first century art work.
