About the International Modern Art display at Tate Liverpool
International Modern Art displays works of art from the Tate Collection. They have been selected by staff
at Tate Liverpool to reflect its richness and variety: established masterpieces are presented alongside lesser-known works,
recent acquisitions and long-term loans to the Collection.
International Modern Art is arranged chronologically and divided into six sections, each of which focuses
on a specific theme or art movement. Over the course of the next three years, the sections will change regularly to present
other key movements and works. In this way, we want to reflect the fact that there is not just one history of modern art,
but many different histories. The Focus Room, at the beginning of the display, offers a more intimate look at the work of a
single artist, and this will also change regularly. Images of most works are available here to copy or print.
You can view the works on display in IMA, by viewing our IMA Collection Display pages.
