Art and Design / Music: Create a soundtrack

  • Listen to the piece of music. The title of the piece is Acrobates; why do you think the composer has given it this title?
  • What different sounds can you hear?
  • Can you identify any of the instruments that are being used? Some of them are unconventional, can you guess what they might be?
  • Create a piece of music to go with Severini's painting. In the Gallery discuss sounds that you might hear and then back in the classroom explore how sound effects, instruments, and voices could be used to make a soundtrack for the painting. You could even make some recordings during your journey back to school!
