History / Art & Design: Discussion

  • Discuss what is happening in the photograph? Who are the people and how are they feeling?
  • Discuss who has taken the photograph and why. What other methods were employed at the time to record the First World War?
  • Discuss how these events might affect artists and their artwork.
  • Compare with a work by a war artist
