Three Goddesses from the East Pediment of the Parthenon

Three Goddesses from the East Pediment of the Parthenon

These sculptures, depicting the Goddess Hestia, Dione, and Aphrodite are from the East Pediment of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, from c. 438-432 BC. The soft drapery and weighty grace of these three female figures are mirrored in Picasso's neo-classical paintings such as Seated Woman in a Chemise.
