Can a poem shed light on a painting? How does a photograph differ from the view out the window? This course explores how our experience of art expands when considered in relation to history, culture and broader human experience. Each of the course’s six sessions begins with a single object in the galleries, from which you’ll explore ‘beyond the frame’. You’ll also be encouraged to respond through writing, photography or other creative means.
