If

Saturday 14 April 2007, 19.00

Lindsay Anderson, UK 1968, 111 min

If has earned its place on the classic British film shortlist. When it was released in 1968 it found an audience among the disaffected youth who were mounting rebellions all over Europe. The film follows a group of pupils at a boys' public school who revolt against their restrictive environment, and the story is an allegory for British society.
