Cosmópolis tells the story of São Paulo’s rapid growth during the twentieth century and charts the emergence of its hybrid cultures. The film draws parallels between the history of the city and the private worlds of the immigrants interviewed, giving a unique perspective on one of the most complex cities in the world.
