Central Park
Frederick Wiseman, USA 1989, 176’
Frederick Wiseman’s film is testament to Central Park, New York’s great open-air stage. Wiseman explores the broad spectrum of ways in which people make use of Manhattan’s 843-acre expanse of fields, lakes and ponds, and highlights the precarious balance between leisure and violence that confronts the verdant urban oasis.
