Sin Dejar Huella (Without a Trace)
Maria Novaro, Mexico 2000, 105’, subs
Sin Dejar Huella is a road movie with a difference: both of the protagonists are female. Aurelia works in a sweatshop and has stolen money from her drug-dealer boyfriend to finance her escape. Ana is an art historian and who smuggles fake Mayan artefacts. The women are very different but both are on the run. A chance encounter results in them joining forces to outrun their hunters and endeavour to change their lives.
