Standard Gauge: The Films of Morgan Fisher Programme Two

Tuesday 13 September 2005, 19.00
and Sunday 18 September 2005, 19.00

Programme Two of Morgan Fisher's work includes his newest film ( ) (2003), as well as earlier work such as Production Stills (1970), an example of what Fisher refers to as 'avoiding the responsibility for inventing’. One of Fisher’s most complex films, Production Stills presents a self-portrait that is not necessarily a self-portrait at all, a work which deflects questions about who is its author, and by extension, casts doubt on established notions of authorship in the collaborative medium of film.

Morgan Fisher introduces the screening on 17 September.
