Things to Come
(William Cameron Menzies, UK 1936, 96')

The British answer to Metropolis, Things to Come was
scripted by HG Wells. It concerns the collapse and development of civilisation
over a hundred-year period. Monumental in scale and exceeding its budget
twice over, this ambitious production became a landmark of the science
fiction genre through its original approach to set design, props and special
effects. Laszlo Moholy-Nagy's Constructivist designs for Everytown are
especially celebrated.
