One of our knowledgeable Tate Guides will take you on a private tour showing you the highlights of the Collection or an exhibition of your choice*.

Tours take place during gallery opening hours
Tours for Two are sold as vouchers which can be redeemed on a date of your choice and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Just call or email us when you’d like to arrange a date for your tour.
The voucher will automatically be posted to the purchaser, if you are buying it as a gift and would like us to send it to the recipient on your behalf, please contact the tours department on 020 7887 4946 or by email.
   Private Tours

A private tour is an excellent way to get the most out of a visit to Tate Modern. There are many tours and packages to choose from.
Our Private Tours highlight key works from the permanent collection of
modern art from 1900 to the present day. Choose from our selection
of tours or arrange a tailor made tour to suit the specific needs of your
group.
Choose one of the following tours:
- General Highlights
- Interpreting Modern Art
- Level Three Collection - Poetry and Dream and Material Gestures
- Level Five Collection - States of flux and Idea and Object
The cost of these tours is £9 per person, with a minimum
charge of £135. All
tours are available in other languages at a cost of £14 per person,
with a minimum charge of £210 (subject to availability).
Friday and Saturday evening tours cost £14 with a minimum charge
of £210.
These tours last for one hour.
Tailor made tours
- Enjoy a tour of Tate Modern tailored specifically to the interests of
your group. Whether it is a particular artist, art movement or the
architecture of Tate Modern that you would like to focus on, we can
arrange a tour to suit your needs.
These tours last for 90 minutes
Tailor made tours (including foreign language tours) cost £14
per person, with a minimum charge £210, and last for 90 minutes.
Maximum group size is 25 per tour; larger groups can be accommodated
although a surcharge may apply for additional tour guides.
Tours are available during gallery opening hours and last for one hour.
Group leader goes free for groups of over 15 people. Please book at least
two weeks in advance.

Meal Packages

To make your day out even easier we have a selection of meal packages for
you to add to your tour.
This symbol against a tour package shows that the following options can be
added.
- Tea, Coffee, Biscuits
- 2 course lunch
- 3 course lunch
- Afternoon tea (a selection of finger sandwiches
and homemade desserts).
Group meal packages are held in Café 2 along with window
seats looking across to St. Pauls Cathedral .
All packages include service charge.
For lunches drinks are paid for separately on
the day.

Enjoy both Tate galleries in London and a trip on
the new Tate Boat for just £21.00* per person, minimum of 15 people. Begin
your day at Tate Britain with a highlights tour of the permanent collection
and learn some of the fascinating stories behind the works on display. Then
take a trip along the Thames and find out more about the exciting collection
of art at Tate Modern.
* Foreign Language Tour rate of £31.00.

This inclusive package is the perfect day out
for groups.
The Tate boat service, operated by Thames Clippers, is a state-of-the art 220 seat catamaran with
specially commissioned exterior and interior designs by leading artist Damien Hirst.
The boat is sponsored by St James Homes, a property developer.

Tour and Dinner Package
Tate Modern's late openings on Friday evenings
allow you to admire the artworks in a relaxed atmosphere. Our Tour and
Dinner Package is the best way to enjoy these evenings with a group of friends
or colleagues.
Enjoy a private tour of the permanent collection which can be tailored
to your requirements. At the end of the 90 minute tour you will be
escorted to Café 2, where you will have a 3 course dinner looking out to
St.Paul's Cathedral.

Special Tours

Tate Modern offers the unusual opportunity of viewing the
galleries before the doors are open to the public, providing a special
time to enjoy the art works and architecture. A Special Tour is
a perfect occasion to share with friends, family or colleagues, for all
art supporters and enthusiasts or those who are simply intrigued to find
out more about modern art.
The tours are for groups of up to 25 people per guide. Tours are available
from Monday- Sunday and begin at 09.00. Prices start from £1000
