In the summer
and autumn of 2000, children from Tower Bridge Primary School and
Grange Primary School in Southwark explored the hidden histories and
associations they brought to art work in a project called "The
Secret Life of Objects", led by artists Usha Parmar and Paul
Howard.
"The Changing
Lives of Objects", led by the same artists, ran for the following
two terms with Townsend Primary School and Alma Primary School and
focussed on how artists transform the ordinary into the extraordinary,
imbuing everyday objects with new meanings and associations.
