To launch their new experimental graphic novel, The Novel of Nonel and Vovel (Charta, 2009), artists Oreet Ashery and Larissa Sansour present live performances and video works, followed by a discussion with curators Reem Fadda and Nat Muller. Nonel and Vovel are the artists’ alter egos, compromised superheroes who contract a virus during an art opening, resulting in a chain of encounters that leads them to save Palestine. The evening concludes with a drink reception and book signing.
Nonel and Vovel is a multidisciplinary project involving publishing, public debates, exhibitions and residencies.
