Almeida Opera presents the second of two concerts curated by Tate Modern music consultant Richard Bernas for the exhibition Open Systems. This concert is devoted to the UK première of Glass’s large-scale, confrontational early work, Music with Changing Parts (1973). A classic product of the 1970s downtown gallery scene and neglected even by Glass’s own ensemble for the past twenty years, Icebreaker are preparing a new edition of this key work for their major revival.
