Steve Reich
Almeida Opera presents the first of two concerts curated by Tate Modern music consultant Richard Bernas for the Open Systems: Rethinking Art c. 1970 exhibition. This programme spans Steve Reich’s early politically engaged tape music and the purity of Pendulum Music (1968), which tends towards an art installation, and ends with a rare performance of the minimalist classic Four Organs (1970). The pieces will be performed at the Islington venue by members of Music Projects/London. Full details and tickets available at www.almeida.co.uk or by calling 020 7359 4404.
