Saturday 9 July 2005, 10.30–21.30

Artist Joshua Sofaer teams up with Stacy Makishi to create the ultimate creative scavenger hunt. With only eight hours, and the whole of London as a hunting ground, teams are invited to register, pack their A-Zs and race down to Tate Modern.

Twenty-five competing teams will be issued with one hundred clues at 10.30 on Saturday 9 July. These clues are worth points and points mean prizes! After deciphering the clues the teams will have to beg, blag, barter and bluff their way around the city scavenging the items required. Teams can expect to complete the day with all kinds of weird and wonderful things, many of which relate to the Tate Collection. The team with the most points wins £1,000 cash.

The objects collected will form a one-day exhibition in Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall on Sunday 10 July.
