Following major solo shows at Kunsthaus Bregenz, ZKM Centre for Arts and Media, Karlsruhe, the Museé d'art moderne de la ville de Paris and his Danish pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale, Olafur Eliasson has become one of the most celebrated young artists around. Many of his works are installations that use both natural and artificial materials to explore the nature and culture of perceptual experience, and its relationships with architecture and technology. The Weather Project, his new commission for The Unilever Series in Tate Modern's Turbine Hall, concerns the weather as a natural and social system. Olafur Eliasson will be in conversation with Dominic Willsdon (Tate Modern).
