David Adjaye presents the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, the practice’s first public building in the United States. Based on the notion that the building must support rather than define the museum’s mission, the design follows a European Kunsthalle format and comprises 20,000 square feet of galleries, education and lecture spaces, a bookshop and a roof garden for a dedicated outdoor art programme.
