Herzog & de Meuron, architects of Tate Modern, present the National Stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. With an almost circular footprint, the bowl-like stadium, which seats 91,000, containing a network of bars, restaurants, hotels and shops, is expected to become a vital, urban space with a future beyond the Olympics.

When the Starr Auditorium is sold out, tickets at £4 each will be available for a Live Video Relay of the event in the Seminar Room. Ticket holders for the Seminar Room will watch the event on a screen, and will not be able to participate in the Q&A at the end of the talk. A complimentary glass of wine will be served to viewers in the Seminar Room.
