With a vision of revitalising mentorship in the arts, Rolex launched the Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative in 2002. The initiative pairs emerging artists with great masters in their field for a year of creative collaboration. In 2008 and 2009, Japanese artist Masanori Handa was mentored by Rebecca Horn. At this discussion, chaired by Richard Cork, they reflect on what they learned from this collaboration and how it has affected their practice.
