Part of UBS Openings: The Long Weekend 2008

Founding Fluxus artist Willem de Ridder has been commissioned to make a new work especially for UBS Openings: The Long Weekend. He will create what he refers to as an ‘Illegal Exhibition’, consisting of an audio tour, in which the artist draws attention to everything but the art. Tours will be available onsite in the form of an audio headset and will take approximately half an hour to complete.

De Ridder is a Dutch artist whose radio instruction pieces and performances have inspired a cult-like audience within his home country, The Netherlands and worldwide. His work seeks to expand perception and activate the viewer's role in the gallery.
