Tate Online | Net Art | The Art of Sleep

THE ART OF SLEEP, 2006, has been commissioned by YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES for Tate Online, to coincide with the opening of the Frieze Art Fair in London.

Employing their usual mix of animated black and white typography, jazzy music and humour, the work explores the international contemporary art market from the artists' perspective.

YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES were invited to participate in a video interview about their artistic practice to accompany the Tate commission. In place of the standard video interview now found at Tate Online, the artists chose to create a second Flash piece called THE ART OF SILENCE, based on a selection of the questions supplied.
