Paul Smith is Britain’s most successful fashion designer. He combines a flair for eccentric, subversive detail, with a dedication to craftsmanship, and a strong sense of business and marketing.

He is also deeply immersed in the visual arts and popular culture and the inspiration for his work is exceptionally wide-ranging. He has adapted paintings, comics and film and his sources reveal the passions and enthusiasms of a designer committed to innovation. This talk explores his approach to creative inspiration and the thinking behind his work.

Paul Smith is the author of You Can Find Inspiration in Everything (Thames & Hudson 2003).
