Ken Loach is arguably Britain's most renowned and most controversial director. He is internationally acclaimed filmmaker whose radical political messages consistently provoke strong responses. His considerable body of work, documenting British society since the 1960s, is an acknowledged source of inspiration to his contemporaries and to subsequent generations. From Cathy Come Home and Kes to his most recent work such as Hidden Agenda, he has continued to make films that are distinctive, provocative and compelling and which have a dramatic impact on Britain's popular consciousness.

This event is part of The 1960’s conversations.

A series of talks by leading figures from the 1960s whose influence has endured, exploring personal recollections and the continuing cultural influence of the decade.
