Donations to Tate Library
Donations to Tate Library are welcomed. All relevant titles not already held in Tate Library collection will be added to our holdings.
Donations are at the core of the library collection. They contribute to the high proportion of titles we hold which are unique to the UK, and to the substantial size of the collection. Tate has a centralised library located at Tate Britain that supports the holdings of all its galleries and supports staff across all sites and is open to the public via the Hyman Kreitman reading rooms located at Tate Britain. The Library collection can be searched online.
Libraries or individuals sending donations are requested to send their publications solely to the following address:
London SW1P 4RG
Tate Library also lends to other UK libraries via an inter-library loans scheme. Under this scheme, a user of one library can borrow books or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library.
Requests for Inter-library loans should be placed with your local library. Please direct your library to the information for borrowing libraries below. Fees may apply.
