You can search or browse for items in the Tate Library collections online.

Using the catalogue

The catalogue consists of records for books (including artists’ books), exhibition and collection catalogues, audio-visual material and current journals in the Tate Library collection.

They do not hold records for auction catalogues, journals that have ceased publication, microfiche and microfilm, museum bulletins, printed ephemera or press cuttings. For information about these collections, contact the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms.

The catalogue also includes brief acquisition records for items that are on order (and not yet received) and for items that are in-process (received but not yet fully catalogued).

Use the online help integrated in the catalogue, or contact the Reading Rooms if you need further assistance.

You can also access the Tate Archive catalogue online.

Reservations

Up to five items can be reserved in advance: email the item details to reading.rooms@tate.org.uk or call +44 (0)20 7887 8838.
