Library Collection
Tate Publications
Tate publications contain information, often richly illustrated, about the institution, its history, buildings, activities and collection since its foundation in 1897, notably:
- Documentation of the collection from 1897
- Catalogues for exhibitions held at Tate from 1911 to the present, at all Tate sites
- Annual and biennial reports, catalogues of acquisitions
- Guides to the collection, histories of the gallery
Unique items are held in the Library's special collections, but there are also easily accessible copies of most recent publications, and files about topics of particular interest - Tate Modern, the Turner Prize, and the opening of Tate Britain.
