Censorship and film in Italy In Italy it was very inspiring because I’d been looking for the history of films etc. and I found this book called “Libro Rosso” – the red book and it’s a book that’s produced by the Vatican and they have very … classified – they classified the films in four or five types and it is the way the films have to be seen by the spectator – who can see it … how the people with moral respect have to see the film. And they say A, B, C and D and they have this situation. It’s a book they have been producing a lot, every several years they produced a book to circulate into the Vatican and to certain institutions, I imagine. I have one from the 70s – or the 50s? or the 60s ... I have one because they released it … it’s a very strange book. |
