This six-week course explores the current displays at Tate St Ives. Focusing on Roger Hilton, Janet Leach and Nick Evans, looking closely at post-war painting, sculpture and ceramics associated with St Ives. With exclusive access to the displays, we will also discuss and debate the wider context for their work.

These informal and introductory sessions provide the opportunity to explore a range of work first-hand and consider key issues such as the role of the human figure, the use of colour, the language of abstraction and the development of modern materials and techniques.

Contributors include guest artists, curators and gallery staff.
