Guidelines for visits to Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden

Although a national gallery, Tate St Ives is a relatively small venue and we take great care to manage the number of visitors at both our venues to ensure the best experience for everyone. Although we are happy to take bookings for large parties, we ask that groups disperse for access – particularly at the Hepworth Museum – into no more than 20.

The following guidelines are specifically for tour operators to ensure the booking procedures are smooth and you are able to secure admission tickets in advance for your clients.

Tour Operators may choose not to come through the booking system but they should be aware that their clients will be charged individually on admission at the full-price tickets of £8.55 adults, £4.40 conc. We could not guarantee there would not be other large tour parties on site.

Why Book In Advance?

• We can offer an advance, pre-paid admission ticket of £4.60 adults/£2.40 conc
• These tickets are valid for the entire day for unlimited access into both sites.
• We can guarantee that there will not be other large groups accessing the sites at the same time and can advise in advance of any disruption to gallery spaces.
• We can accept credit card payment over the phone or cheque in the post prior to your visit (note all group tickets must be paid for in advance)
• We can offer a range of tours or activities for your group (more information on request)
• We can provide a package of tickets to be collected on the door by your tour leader.
• We can give you advice on optimum visit times, discuss the nature of the exhibitions and provide advice on parking and other attractions in the town.
