Conservation
Conservation is a fascinating and important area of Tate’s work. The dedication and skill of our conservation team ensure Tate’s world-class Collection is expertly cared for and that the exhibition programme can continue to be both varied and stimulating.
Conservators at Tate are also engaged in research and take a leading role in establishing international standards of care, display and transport, all of which are proactively shared with the wider conservation community.
Tate can offer sponsors collaborations to develop new areas of conservation, funding of a research post, or funding of specific equipment.
The support of these projects is vital to the continuing care of Tate’s Collection, thereby ensuring it is available for future generations to enjoy.
