Issue 11

This month we feature two groundbreaking exhibitions, Niki de Saint Phalle at Tate Liverpool and Juan Muñoz at Tate Modern, the first major UK retrospectives for these artists. We highlight video works shot in Afghanistan and Japan by contemporary artists Lida Abdul and Sanford Biggers, and encounter live horses in the galleries at a performance by Tania Bruguera. Finally, exploring a painting by Paul Nash in Tate’s Collection, we discover an untold story of lost love. Please send feedback to tateshots@tate.org.uk.
