Beach workshops at Tate St Ives on Porthmeor Beach
Tate St Ives Beach Workshops

Each week a different artist will be leading families on a exploration of the beach and inviting them to create artwork inspired by the sea, sand, surf and anything else they might find.

5 Aug: Beach Panorama
Ali Roscoe will be challenging families to create a panorama of St Ives from what they can see and find on the beach.

12 Aug: Landscape Explorers
Susanna Webster will be inviting families to collect drawings, rubbings, sand and seaweed and then create their own St Ives landscapes back in the Courtyard space.

19 Aug: Sand Sculptures
Greg Humphries will lead a sand sculpture session on Porthmeor Beach. (Families are still to meet him in the Courtyard first).

26 Aug: Sea Paintings
Ges Wallace will be inviting families to make sea paintings, using the waves to create their artwork, and then to use seaweed, shells and whatever else the beach has to offer to make brilliant beach prints.

This event is related to the exhibition International Exchanges: Modern Art and St Ives 1915–1965
