Gilbert & George are among the most celebrated artists to have emerged from the British art scene in the late 1960s. As students at St Martin’s, they challenged the boundaries of sculpture, making themselves the subject and sacrificing their individual identities to art. Works by Gilbert & George will be exhibited for the first time in the South West as part of ARTIST ROOMS on Tour. This exhibition presents major aspects of the artists’ career from 1969 to 1991 and Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) will be the first ARTIST ROOMS Associate to hold a Gilbert & George exhibition.
