Art & Interpretation

What does interpretation mean for learning in the museum? How can different approaches to interpretation in art impact on, and inform, teaching practice? Where does affect sit in relation to knowledge production?

This session looks to unravel the various modes and functions of interpretation, considering how a personal or practical response to art works might interrupt, support or transform the pursuit of meaning in the museum.
