It makes me realise how important it is to look and question and explore ideas and materials alongside students
Artist-led workshop, teacher 2012

We want to support students to gain a deeper enjoyment and understanding of art through working with practising artists and the Tate collection. Workshops take place in the gallery where students encounter artwork alongside their teachers and artists; sharing thinking and learning to create a unique and diverse learning context designed to encourage individuals to engage with art, ask questions and form opinions.

During 2013–14 the workshops will be led by:
Katriona Beales, Harald den Breejan, Evan Ifekoya, Lucy Joyce, Emma McGarry, Rosanna Mclaughlin, Joseph Noonan-Ganley, Elaine Reynolds, Eoghan Ryan and Katharine Tolladay.

Term-time Mondays and Thursdays, 10.30–12.00 or 13.00–14.30, starting 7 October 2013.

  • Two workshops in each time slot per day (strict maximum of 16 students per group)
  • Each school can book up to two workshops per term
  • Groups must sign in at the gallery 20 minutes before the start time.
