Out of Hours access: The EY Exhibition: Late Turner – Painting Set Free

26 September 2014 at 18.30–20.30
Joseph Mallord William Turner, Regulus 1828, reworked 1837. Tate

An exclusive chance to see The EY Exhibition: Late Turner – Painting Set Free, the first exhibition devoted to the extraordinary work J.M.W. Turner created between 1835 and his death in 1851.

Bringing together spectacular works from the UK and abroad, this exhibition celebrates Turner’s astonishing creative flowering in these later years when he produced many of his finest pictures but was also controversial and unjustly misunderstood.

This evening event includes a Lipspeaker and Audio Description tour (hearing loops are available) and also ease of access for mobility-impaired visitors who would find it difficult to visit during opening hours. A drop-in artist-lead watercolour workshop will also take place throughout the evening responding to the exhibition and Turner's work. No booking or experience required.

A British Sign Language tour of the exhibition led by Serena Cant will be on Friday 21 November, 19.00-20.00.
