Source: Order and Compulsion with Austin Radcliffe

5 June 2014 at 18.00–20.00

Things Organized Neatly, curated by Austin Radcliffe is a compulsively organised Tumblr blog sensation. Austin is an American blogger and curator who works with artists, galleries, and museums. His blog has made a strong mark on internet culture, and has calmed the nerves of over 275,000 followers worldwide.

In this talk and Q&A, Things Organized Neatly curator Austin Radcliffe discusses the social and participatory relevance of his work and practice, exploring how in a digital age of mass-consumption of images, his website compares to 19th century Salon-style galleries.

This talk is part of the Order and Compulsion themed month in BP Spotlight: Source display at Tate Britain.

Source display has been curated by Tate Collective London. Tate Collective London plan and develop events for other young people, 15–25 years, to create, experiment and engage with the Tate Collection at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.

Tate Collective London is a part of Circuit, led by Tate and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
