We want to support students and teachers to learn about themselves and others through being with art.
Workshops will take place in the gallery, where students can encounter artwork alongside their teachers and artists. Through sharing thoughts and ideas they can create a unique and diverse learning context designed to encourage individuals to engage with art and contemporary culture.
We take a radical approach to engagement, inviting students to learn aboout art through being in a conversation with each other, artists and artworks within the particular context of the public gallery space.
Each conversation, framed as it is through art and practice, will be different and unpredictable but always designed to encourage individuals to ask questions and form opinions.
Our 2016–17 workshops are led by: Louise Ashcroft, Jonny Briggs, Jemma Egan, Milda Lembertaite, Sophie Michael and Amelia Prazak.
The workshop is a celebration of the students. It invites them to engage on a personal level. This is very important to students' education.
