The autumn/winter 2014/15 issue of Compass, your guide to Tate Liverpool’s programme, is out now! Featuring articles that explore our fantastic new season of exhibitions and more, members of the Tate Liverpool team provide direct insights and links into the themes and works running through the gallery.
Artistic Director Francesco Manacorda said: ‘Making things public is part of Tate’s mission, but also the driving force behind activities such as broadcasting, publishing and distributing. This urge is at the centre of the current season.’ The latest edition of Compass, subtitled Making Things Public, includes new writing on a complementary combination of exhibitions: Transmitting Andy Warhol, Gretchen Bender and The Serving Library.
This issue also looks at specific works from the free Tate collection displays of modern and contemporary art - DLA Piper Series: Constellations and Living Room - which sit across two floors of the gallery. Discover the surprising ways in which these specific artworks correspond, not only with the season’s themes, but directly with the work and processes of Andy Warhol and Gretchen Bender.
Available in the foyer, shop and galleries for £1, we would love your feedback on the latest addition to Tate Liverpool.
