Discover arts and crafts makers from Liverpool

Enjoy learning about a variety of craft techniques in these new sessions which include demonstrations and talks from local artists who’ve been inspired by artworks within our collections. Each week is different and includes the opportunity to create your own unique artwork, using different materials and techniques.

15 October

Inspired by Aleksandra Mir’s collaborative work Space Tapestry join Chantelle Cook of Knit-Toxteth to hear about her practice as a socially engaged yarn bomber and take part in a knit/crochet demonstration and practical.

22 October

Something Pen and Inks for a linoprint demonstration and practical. Inspired by the architecture of Tate Liverpool. 

Members Meet the Makers with Felt Artist Amelia McCreith
29 October

Inspired by Joseph Beuys Felt Suit join Textile Artist and Felt maker Amelia McCreith for a Felt Making demonstration and practical.

Members Meet the Makers with Red Button Press
5 November

Inspired by Bob and Roberta Smith “Make Art not War” join Karen Edwards of Red Button Press for a letter print demonstration and practical.
