Past Event Tate Modern Performance

Rinse FM

18 August 2012 at 19.00–21.30

Playing grime, dubstep, UK garage, funky, drum and bass and other underground genres, London-based Rinse FM began life as a pirate radio station in 1994. Now fully licensed, the station, which is headed by DJ Geeneus, gave Dizzee Rascal and Wiley their first exposure. At Tate Modern, Rinse FM artists will mix underground music culture with light and performance presentations to explore iconic countercultural music genres.
