For Members with the London Private View Pass Only

Be the first to see Giacometti, and exhibition of one of Europe’s most distinctive sculptors, before it opens to the public by attending your daytime private view on Tuesday 9 May. From his first works of art through his surrealist compositions, to the emergence of his mature style, Alberto Giacometti has rarely been explored this fully.

Private Views are the perfect time to see the exhibition outside of gallery hours and are a great social occasion for an evening with friends. Members are invited to attend with a guest. No booking is required. Other exhibitions to see include Fahrelnissa Zeid (opens 13 June) and Soul of a Nation (opens 12 July).

Stay for dinner at the Kitchen & Bar restaurant or go for drinks and a bite to eat in the L5 Members Bar. To book a table for dinner please call +44 (0)20 7401 5108 or email modern.restaurant@tate.org.uk.

On Thursday 15 June, leading Giacometti expert Timothy Mathews gives an hour-long talk on the themes of fragility, trauma and space in works that have continued to resonate with artists, writers, and audiences today. Book now to discover more about Giacometti before enjoying your private view of the exhibition.
