Be the first to see the new Tate St Ives and explore the huge gallery sunk into the cliff, new studios for learning activities and public roof garden. Enjoy a private view of our opening programme, Rebecca Warren: All That Heaven Allows and Modern Art and St Ives.
The solo show by major British artist, Rebecca Warren consists of all new or previously unseen works; including astonishing large-scale bronzes and exuberant, hand-sculpted forms that make connections between her work to date and the artistic legacy of St Ives.
For the first time permanent space has been devoted to exploring the link between Modern Art and St Ives. A new collection display, Modern Art and St Ives, features artists such as Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon, Barbara Hepworth, Piet Mondrian, Naum Gabo and Mark Rothko to look at their place in international art history and their connection to St Ives.
On the evening we welcome special guest Jon Snow, our Chair of the Members Council, who will give a short speech alongside Mark Osterfield, Executive Director of Tate St Ives. Music will be provided by Cornish group, Goonzion Quartet.
