This fortnightly Sunday programme highlights a selection of literary references exploring narratives both under and over the sea. Hear stories of the ocean deep told and re-told by guest speakers, amidst the artworks of Aquatopia.
On 12 January 2014 we have a dramatic reading from Jules Vernes’ 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Mark Harandon, introduced and narrated in the role of Monsieur Arronax who travelled with Captain Nemo in The Nautilus. Harradon’s performance will weave together his own interpretation with the original written word.
Two further Stories of the sea events take place as part of Super Sunday at Tate St Ives
This session is supported by FEAST. Investment for FEAST comes from Arts Council England and Cornwall Council. The programme is managed by Cornwall ARTS Centre Trust.
